Lets create a partition with Windows Vista. Right click on the My Computer icon and select Manage then Disk Management.
Find the drive that you have freed up some space on and right click on the free space and select New Simple Volume.

1. We will use a laptop and an ordinary monitor as an example, we will label laptop monitor as monitor 1 and ordinary monitor as monitor. You may use the same steps on a desktop as long as it has more than one VGA or DVI ports.
2. Connect the VGA cable of monitor 2 to the VGA socket of your laptop. The VGA socket is usually a blue color and has 15 pin holes. And almost all laptop have a VGA socket. You can do this while your laptop is turned on.
One way Windows helps you organize your files is to direct different kinds of content to different locations. There’s a Music folder, a Videos folder, a Saved Games folder, and a Pictures folder. Put all your digital pictures in your Pictures folder, for example, and that’s where most photo applications will prompt you to open and save your files.
And as explained in the previous section, Windows Explorer will be more likely to display your pictures as thumbnails if they’re in the Pictures folder (or a subfolder thereof). But what if you don’t want to put your pictures there? Previously, I wrote about how you can change the location of the My Documents folder, but what if you only want to move the My Pictures folder?

As we know we can’t rename the recycle bin with other names. It is because there is no rename menu available when we right click on it. So what should we do when we want to rename recycle bin? Does it can’t be renamed?

This tips is almost have the same way with the previous tips. You can change the command prompt font from it properties windows. Here the steps to change the command prompt font:
- Click Start »» Run. Type in “cmd” (without quotes) then press Enter to open Command Prompt.
- Right click on Command Prompt windows title bar and select Properties.
Indications:
When you log in to Vista computer, you may recive the following message,
” Your user profile was not loaded correctly! You have been logged on with a temporary profile.
Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off. Please see the event log for details or contact your administrator.”
Reason :
If you see only Temporary Profile in Vista , this is due to problem with loading your correct profile.
Solution:
1) Logon to another Administrator account.
2) Delete the User account profile that this error is for in Registry.
WARNING: You should backup anything you do not want to lose in this user account personal folders first. (See note in step 10) They will be located at: C:\Users\(username)
3) Open the Start menu.
4) In the white line (Start Search) area, type regedit and press Enter.
5) If prompted, click on Continue in the UAC prompt.
6) In regedit, go to: (See screenshot below step
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
7) In the left pane, click on one of the S-1-5….. folders (SID key) with the long number in it. (See screenshot below step 7)

A) In the right pane, look at the ProfileImagePath to see if this is the same user account that you deleted in step 1 above.
B) Repeat step 6 until you find the one that you deleted in step 1 above.
To Backup the Registry SID Key -WARNING: You should backup this SID key to be safe in case you delete the wrong one in step 9 below.
A) Right click on the SID key, and click on Export.
B) Type in a name and save the REG file to a safe location.
NOTE: This is your backup. To Restore the Backup, right click on the REG backup file and click on Merge.

C) Continue on to step 9.
9) To Delete the Registry SID Key -
A) Right click on the SID key, from step 6 with bak at the end, and click on Delete. (See screenshot above)
B) Click on Yes to confirm deletion. (See screenshot below)
10) Close regedit.
11) Logoff and logon.
Your problem will be solved now!

Vista Wireless Adapter Not Detecting Any Networks

I’m sure networks are available, because I connected one more laptop in same place. Here are the steps I tried to solve this issue.
You can try below steps whenever you face same problem.
1) Check whether any third party software (mostly the same laptop supplier) is available to detect and connect wireless network. If it’s set to take care of wireless networks, then windows wireless network manager will not detect any networks. So, check the third party software or make the windows wireless manager as default wireless connectivity manager. Mine is Acer laptop, so I disabled some ‘Acer econnect’ software, and made windows wireless manager as default. But still the problem not solved.
